What if you had been taught in school about how your mind works, why you have emotions, how to deal with them, and how to learn to trust yourself? Would you have benefited from it?
MARKED was born when founder Ida Nevalainen noticed a significant need for modern well-being solutions to be aimed at young people. While working as a teacher and as a therapeutic counselor for children with psychological problems, she became familiar with the amount of youth facing issues including fatigue, exhaustion, self-criticism, social anxiety and lack of perspective for the future.
Nevalainen started teaching her students about life skills and self-awareness, and noticed the life-changing effects. "There's nothing wrong with me, I just haven't understood myself," was the turning point of one student, which convinced Nevalainen that these skills should be included in education. Today, through MARKED, it is possible all over the world.
